FIRST OFFICE / BRANDING / 2006

In Form Design was asked to re-invent the First Office brand within 6 months.

First Office is the value division of OFS Brands, a furniture manufacturer located in Southern Indiana. First Office was established 6 years ago but had little presence in the market; it was simply known as the lower cost alternative for wood office furniture. OFS Brands wanted to establish a strong brand presence by upgrading its products and positioning its presence in the marketplace. Our goal was to create the perception that First Office is a moderately priced yet highly designed office furniture option in this saturated value-driven market. We were able to complete this project within the short time span by outlining priorities, overlapping the many components where possible and trimming off excess 'design fat'.

Components included:

  • Positioning First Office in the marketplace.
  • Creating the visual identity of the brand, including new logo.
  • Directing photography of the product line (over 200 product shots).
  • Creating all print and web collateral.
  • Designing and space planning a 20' x 30' trade show both.
  • Selecting music for use in First Office events.
  • Developing an advertising campaign.
  • Designing promotional giveaways.
  • Copy writing and coordinating press releases.
  • Coordinating a live simulcast brand launch in New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Houston and Los Angeles.

OFS / NEOCON SHOWROOM & MARKETING MATERIAL / 2006

In Form Design was asked to design the showroom and marketing materials for the OFS NeoCon 2006 Showroom. OFS is an office furniture manufacturer located in Southern Indiana. NeoCon is the most anticipated annual event for the interiors and contract furniture industry. Companies put their best foot forward premiering new product and showcasing their best work.

2006 was the third year in a row that we were responsible for their NeoCon project. Each year we develop a new concept which applies to all advertising, promotional items and events. This year the concept was 'convergence', referring to the revitalized traditional and contemporary product offerings. The project had many components, all of which were kept consistent in order to build a memorable brand experience.

Components included:

  • Developing the theme.
  • Realizing the visual identity of the theme.
  • Designing, specifying and space planning the 6500 sq. ft. showroom.
  • Creating custom artwork.
  • Specifying custom pillows.
  • Designing furniture for a custom lounge area.
  • Modifying existing product for a custom meeting area.
  • Applying the visual identity to advertising campaign and website.
  • Developing a fashion guide so OFS staff and Sales Representative clothing would coordinate with the showroom.
  • Designing showroom giveaways: mini-brochure, custom bag, water bottle and lapel pin.
  • Selecting music for three day event.
  • Copy writing and coordinating press releases.

CAROLINA & EMBRACE FURNISHINGS BY CAROLINA / NEOCON SHOWROOM & MARKETING MATERIALS / 2006

In Form Design was asked to design the showroom and marketing materials for the Carolina and Embrace Furnishings NeoCon Showroom. NeoCon is the most anticipated annual event for the interiors and contract furniture industry. These companies put their best foot forward premiering new product and showcasing their best work.

Carolina and Embrace Furnishings are furniture manufacturers located in High Point, North Carolina. Both brands focus on the healthcare market. Carolina was ranked as the number two source for healthcare furniture by Contract Magazine in 2006. Embrace Furnishings is the high end offering from Carolina. The main challenge was dividing the space between the Carolina and the Embrace Furnishings' brand identities. This was accomplished by laying out specific spaces for the two brands while including subtle transitional areas. The elements were carefully balanced throughout the space. This created clear separation of the brands, but made the showroom feel cohesive as a whole.

Components included:

  • Developing the two distinct brand identities and clarifying brand relationships.
  • Designing, specifying and space planning a 3600 sq. ft. showroom.
  • Creating a custom mural and custom artwork.
  • Designing showroom giveaways which included custom notepads.
  • Selecting music for the three day event.
  • Copy writing and coordinating press releases.

JASPER STRASSENFEST / WETTLAUF T-SHIRT / 2006

The Strasssenfest is an annual summer festival celebrating Jasper, Indiana's German heritage, culture, language and music. Members of the In Form Design staff have participated in the Wettlauf (German for "road race") several times. In Form Design volunteered to design the 2006 t-shirt for this 5k event.

DMI OFFICE FURNITURE / BINDER / 2006

DMI OFFICE FURNITURE / BINDER / 2006

In Form Design was asked to design a binder for DMI, a furniture manufacturer located in Louisville, Kentucky. The binder houses all their product literature. DMI wanted to update the look of their binder, but did not want to incur the cost of updating all of their brochures immediately. Our goal was to design a binder that was flexible enough that it would work with their current literature but could also segue into a future redesign. For this project we subtly refined their existing logo and created a neutral color palette that would work with their existing literature.

EMBRACE FURNISHINGS BY CAROLINA / BRANDING / 2005-2006

In Form Design was asked to design and develop a healthcare seating brand for Carolina. Carolina is a furniture manufacturer located in High Point, North Carolina.

This new product line includes high-end seating, tables and casegoods. The product is designed by well known interior designers who worked primarily in the healthcare industry. Carolina saw a need for furniture that was beautifully designed, but meets all the restrictive specifications for healthcare furniture. The goal was to create a refined, upscale brand that would appeal to interior designers. We were involved in the project from its inception and developed the name, logo and complete visual identity for the new brand.

Components included:

  • Naming the company.
  • Designing the visual identity for the brand.
  • Directing and coordinating all photography.
  • Creating all print and web collateral.
  • Developing an advertising campaign.
  • Designing promotional giveaways.
  • Copy writing and coordinating press releases.

OFS / PRODUCT BROCHURE / 2005-2006

In Form Design has been involved in an on going project to update all OFS literature. OFS is a high end office furniture manufacturer located in Southern Indiana.

OFS wanted to update their literature, but did not want to incur the cost of updating all of their brochures simultaneously. They asked for a refined and sophisticated look while putting emphasis on their product. We created a subtly different but more sophisticated color palette and updated the layout without overwhelming changes. We have been updating their literature as new products are introduced and as current product offerings are updated.

Components included:

  • Designing all print collateral.
  • Directing and coordinating all photography.
  • Copy writing and coordinating press releases.
